Hi Guys and Gals,
I just wanted to let y'all know about a HUGE promotion that we're doing this year for the BBQ contest circuit. It's called the 50 EGG club. 50 Contests, 50 Champions, 50 EGGS. To be in it...You Gotta Win It.

Very cool![p]I see Crestwood, KY on the list for the first weekend in June. Unforunately, that event was canceled. They were hoping to reschedule it, but I haven't heard anything more. Have they said anything to you guys?

Bobby-Q, Question - Does this mean that the winner of these contests gets a BGE for a prize ?? Or will all 50 winners be invited to a contest cooking on eggs - like the Jack ??

Memphis,[p]The Grand Champion at each event will get a large egg, small cypress table, ash tool, grill gripper, bag of charcoal and a box of firestarters. That's it. You win, you're in.

What do you think is the cause of streaks like that beyond the skills of the contestant? I'd think there are a large handful at each of these competitions that are great cooks with the required skills?

dhuffjr,[p]I don't know. Clearly Mike is cooking some great food these days but Johnny Trigg probably is too and he can't win one for anything. The hot and cold streaks have been part of this as long as I've been in it and I have no real explanation except that when you are on a hot streak you manage to find a way to cook more often.[p]
