deboned butt - change in cooking time?
Options
With a bunch of people coming over tomorrow for the game, I stopped by the new Costco that opened near me and picked up a two-pack of delicious looking butts. When I got them out of the package to put on the rub last night, I discovered they had been de-boned (not indicated anywhere on the label). I've cooked plenty of butts, but haven't run into this before.[p]I know the bone is also supposed to flavor the meat, but I see no reason why it shouldn't be delicious anyway. My question is, is this going to affect my cooking time?[p]Thanks guys...

DaveinGa, it might cook a tad quicker, nothing to worry about. I do recommend you tie it tight with butcher twine to keep it moist. I cooked these until I got the Sams' card.
