Smokin Canuck,
they are about 3" x 4" x 4" I just slap them on top of the coals....I tried using a hatchet to cut up smaller but let's face it....I live in Georgia where there are groves and groves of pecan trees so I just went as small as that.

Lizard Dragger,
you gotta be the most enthusiastic pre-egger I ever did see. I hope that you have the most funnest time this Saturday. 3-1/2 days 84 =/- hours tick tock tick tock tick[p]
what is the first cook you are planning?

thirdeye,
Apply and cherry chunks, with cherry shavings (I think). Almost 1 year since cutting. Sadly, these came from our family farm which was sold and demolished. The cherry tree sat next to our underground gas tanks. Hopefully this won't give new meaning to the term "flashback" [p]Do I need to remove the bark? No idea what I'm going to do with the shavings...soak and treat like chips I guess.[p][p][p][p]

These pics are from my Aunt and Grandmother's homes in South MS after hurricane Katrina. There were over 80 acres of pecan trees wiped out in total. Thank God all of my family was fine. Gots lots of pecan wood for smokin' now, though... Email me if you'd like a bag. I'll be heading back home next month and will replentish supplies.[p][p][p][p]All of the trees in the photos are pecans...[p]ss

Rick's Tropical Delight,[p]Wow, so I guess your love for food and the BGE is more than your love for billiards! LOL and that MAZE is awesome, I would totally be lost in less than 30 seconds.[p]-Jill
