    Car Wash Mike,
I like to cook up some onions, mix it with a can of pork & beans and then the remaining steak cut in cubes mixed together. Boy is that good. [p]Oh, and a cold Bud to wash it down!

  • Hey Mike,
Darn good looking. Glad to see the 125 degree pull. Any more and it gets ruined in my opinion.[p]Now you need to come out to Eggs-by-the-Bay in June and we can have a competition cooking tri-tip for the crowd. Also then I'd be able to take you up on you giving me rib cooking lessons.[p]Regards,

    Morro Bay Rich,
Kim informed me that your fest was on the hot list for this year. She also informed me that she wants to do some tourist things while there. Any suggestions? -RP

  • AZRP,
Ever been to San Francisco? If not that could take up 4 to 5 days by itself.
Golden Gate Park (Japanese Tea Garden)
    SF Zoo
SF Museum of Modern Art and deYoung Museum (even if you aren't interested in art, the buildings will knock your eyes out)
SF Exploritorium (Science museum for kids)
    Mission Delores in SF
Walk across the Golden Gate Bridge
Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 in SF
    San Jose Tech Museum
Santa Cruz Boardwalk (great fun for kids too)
    Napa Valley wine tasting
    Muir Wood (Coastal Redwood Trees)
The list just goes on and on.[p]Get a AAA Guide book and pick out the Gems (diamond markers in the book)

    Morro Bay Rich,
Yep, the ends were 140 and a little tough. No, I'm taking my act to Oklahoma, Texas, Hotlanta and maybe Denver. Hope to you see you at one of those.[p]Mike

Oh yea, cooking for one. Sounds good on a salad. I'm still trying to get someone in Missouri or Kansas to hold an Eggfest. Uncooperative turds. LOL[p]Mike

Yep, time to get up, go power walk at the mall. Healthy dose of excercise. Either that or pick up all the trash from last nights visitors. Clean up bays and get ready for another shot of winter. Retired sounds much better.[p]Later,

  • Car Wash Mike, surprise.......I am awake too.

Morro Bay Rich,[p] You left out Monterey Bay, the drive up the coastal highway, Calabaras Big Trees, Yosemite National Park. University of California at Berkeley, Old Town Sacramento, Seeing Arnold play Governator. [p] In other words don't get stuck in just San Francisco.
  • Car Wash Mike,
Let me know what I can do to help... we'll be going to OK, though! Only a 4.5 hour drive for us.

    Car Wash Mike,
Cube it up with some diced potatoes and carrots and onions and fry in a cast iron skillet to make some of the best roast beef hash that you will ever have.
Add two eggs over easy on top of the hash prior to serving.[p]Making my mouth water,

  • RhumAndJerk,
I love making a good hash similar to that and I add some Redeye Exprress and maybe a lttle bit of crushed garlic.

  • RhumAndJerkRhumAndJerk Posts: 1,506
That is exactly what I use and I still add a cup of black coffee to keep the hash moist.
