eggaholic,
My wife is more than willing to come and hold the flashlight. Works for me. LOL, have a good day, AZ
-
With a flip of the light switch...LOL[p]Wess
-
eggaholic,[p]I find a headlamp (like used for camping) to be very useful for those late-night cooks. It certainly doesn't hold a candle to your illumation system though![p]Cheers,[p]Big Green Egghead

eggaholic,[p] I bought me one of the Stand lights that somebody recommended. I haven't set it up yet. I just got tired of trying to take pictures with my cheapo digital with little or no light. [p] Then I find out my wife bought her own digital and managed to get a Canon Powershot 510 on sale.. Geesh I get no respect..

Wardster,

fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
eggaholic,[p]Blasphemy! What is that thing you have covered up to the right of the BGE?
-
Wardster, I agree, how about a shot of the lived-in look....T

eggaholic,
caveman cooked in the dark by the light of the fire.[p]good enough for me.[p]i'm a cheap pr!ck. my house was built in 1925, and has one 75 watt bulb for the whole back yard.[p]good enough for me![p]i save my lightbulb pennies and buy good beef.[p]

eggaholic,
I've been using the same setup as you for about 2 years. Works great and only cost $35.00 on sale at one of the gigantic hardware depots. Much more powerful and only a couple of dollars more than one of the anemic led setups and also does extra duty in the shop and elsewhere. I leave mine covered outside.
-
eggaholic,
obviously you don't have an insect problem where you live. If I tried that kind of fire power that close to my eggs I'd be swarming with bugs, moths and other creatures of the air that are attracted to bugs and moths in lights!

SSN686,
considering the before and after pic, those gotta be the damned brightest lights i've ever seen. damn near turned night to day.[p]i've been on planes whose landing lights werent as bright.[p]you could probably cook the steak with the bulb fer crine out loud.

RRP, I hear ya, same problem here it Texas. I have an added problem, one of my neighbor's bedroom windows is just over the fence from where my egg is. Though they love what comes off the egg, I don't think they would appreciate the bright light during overnight cooks. On the other hand, my wife gave me a guru for Christmas, so the negative may be limited to bugs afterall.

this battery powered led grill light does what it is intended to do, light up a small, close area well. i use it in conjunction with the motion sensor spot light mounted on the side of my egg building.[p]the flexible head on this light is perfect for shining down the top to check the brownness level of breads and such. i was baking a loaf of wheat bread in this photo and martha is cruising at 420 degrees.[p]

BENTE,
