my very best to all here and abroad![p]we started with some smoked fatties and smoked salmon...

[p]and i did a cheap ham in the egg to compare to an expensive spiral cut ham...
[p][p]i injected it with real maple syrup, a little raging river on the top, and cloves in the diamond cuts. most votes were for the cheap ham, with one "i couldn't tell the difference" and on "it's a tie... the egged ham would've won if it was a better piece of meat".[p]

Rick's Tropical Delight,[p]The holiday season included the following Egg meals: awesome lamb loin chops, Prime Rib, ABT's, pizza, and wings cooked with the terrific Cherry/Ancho Chili recipe found on this forum.[p]The attached photo is of my standing rib roast purchased at Whole Foods (4.8 #). Cooked mad max style modified with DP Raising the Steaks. Pulled at 127 F, the temperature went to 134 F at carving. Unbelievable![p]Roudy

    Hey dude.
This time I skipped the salt water soak, and used olive oil. The egg whites sound like a good idea.
    Cheers!

    Rick's Tropical Delight,
same here, blues are called pterodactyls. ospreys are called cannon balls for the way they hit the water for fish, nothing graceful about an osprey

    eggaholic,
Can I ask what you used to make that glaze? I have a ham parked in the fridge and that glaze looks very nice and just may go good with this ham when I cook it.[p]Thanks![p]Bob

    ·
  • bbqBob,
Bob i work in a grocery store the brown sugar glaze came from a spiral ham that we do and don't put the glaze pack on. i added crushed pineapple to it.
