BGE Chimenea

Does anyone have one of these? I'm looking for a firepit / chimenea for our back porch during the cooler months in Houston (as much as I enjoy it, sitting around our large BGE isn't quite as much fun for the rest of my family).[p]Does the chimenea put out much heat? Can you shut it down like the BGE when done to put out the charcoal? Would you buy it again?

  • Matanuska,
What part of Houston? I'm in Spring. Warmer than the past three nights but still cool.[p]Spring "Sleeping Under The Covers Tonight" Chicken

I've got one. It looks nice, puts out decent heat once you get it going. My complaint is the size. I wish it was bigger. If it was bigger it you could put more fuel on and have it cast more light out of the front. It is coated with the same coating as the egg and seems much more durable than the larger ones you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot. But then it cost twice as much too.
  • We're inside the loop. I work downtown so we wanted to stay close-in. A little warmer today.
