Got hooked on lechon asado (cuban roast pork) when working in south Florida last year. This recipe comes pretty close, but is a little too aromatic to do in the oven without filling the house with the smell of garlic.[p]http://recipes.epicurean.com/recipe/15638/lechon-asado-cubano-(cuban-roasted-pork).html

fishlessman, I have done a roast similar to this indoors -but used a spice called achiote/annatto with lots of lime and then the whole thing wrapped in bananna leaves. I wonder how this would turn out on the egg ???
