BBQfan1,[p]chop roots into small pieces - pieces about the size of a man's thumb - crush garlic - lightly coat with olive oil - add spices of choice - i have used thyme, rosemary, fresh black pepper, garlic salt, smoked hungarian paprika
3 medium turnips
2 beets
2 medium red onions
1 carrot
3 parsnips
8 small red potatoes
4 large cloves of garlic
rub roots with olive oil before adding spices - smoke at 325 for an hour are so until tender - add onions after about 30 minutes - i use apple wood[p]enjoy !!

Thanks, max. We had a great Thanksgiving down in North Carolina with real food and lots of it... now we're back to freezer food for a couple more weeks.... thanks for the steaks.

While on vacation in Miami & stayed in a condo with a few pots & pans i was able to conger up some meals. Here is a plate of Gnocci with marinara sauce & large shrip sautee'd in the same sauce, plated with broccoli.
all served with a Yellow tail chardonnay
