Sandbagger,
looks like the plate setter for the xl lists for 69.95 so i would guess anywhere between 55 to 65 bucks
-
eggfoot,
oops i thought you were asking about the setter not the stone. i need to quite doing two things at once.

Sandbagger,
Just bought one last week for the xl and it was around 55 bucks. its huge. how does this relate to your rib rack

ugavet, I use half size firebricks in the fire ring to cook indirect. I like this method for ribs as the ends won't burn. The plan was to cut down the stone and replace the firebricks: handle one piece instead of four bricks. But at $55, I'll stick with the four bricks. They cost about $1 each. [p]I modified the adjustable rig to hold six full baby backs or St. Louis style ribs. I foil ribs so I need them to lay flat. Costco/Sams sell ribs in 3 packs, so six was a logical number. I don't like cutting full racks in half, so I keep it at two racks per level.[p]tom[p]

Sandbagger,
ahh, gotcha. did your slid out racks workout? look forward to seeing the finished product in action.

ugavet, still playing, I got one more thing to add to it. Then, it's time to cook....T
