<p />I've had a hanker'n for traditional "Brats n Beer" for a couple of weeks now.[p]My Dad always used to get Fresh Brats, and grill them direct, over medium heat..for about 30 minutes.[p]Meanwhile...Mom would have a pot simmering on the stove...
consisting of a couple of dark beers, two onions,a stick of butter, and a bit of brown sugar.[p]When Dad pulled them off the "Patio Daddio"...
(does anyone remember those grills?)
they'd go in the pot to simmer with the onions and beer for
about 30 minutes.[p]Fixins were a good hard roll,(soft in the middle) plenty of the simmered onions, and some Cleveland "Stadium" mustard!![p]Now...back to the present.[p]I decided to revive this memory Friday evening....
(for the Cardianal victory)
when Jay posts...he's doing the same thing!![p]So....not to be outdone...I did it again tonight![p]P1010002-1.jpg[p]In think it was just as good...the second time around!!!!![p]Here's to ya' Dad!![p]Evans[p]

I spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!!
