Cooked at 350 direct on a woo ring raised grid. Taking to work today, but one disappeared before getting into the fridge. These are skinless thighs. I marinated 24 hours and hit them with Shakin' the Tree. I was too busy so they marinated with the rub for two more days. Great taste![p]Thanks Tom! You'll be getting mail early next week.[p]

Bbq Law Dog,[p]Time to go to work, so I can't post it now. It should be in the archives. If now, reply to this and I'll post tomorrow..

Bbq Law Dog,
His recipe ended up in our recently updated testimonial section. I think it is the 7th one down. Check the link and scroll down. Here is an excerpt![p]Marinated 7 chicken thighs in 1-cup each of lemonade and Pat & Oscars Italian dressing for 2 hours (could have used 4+ hours IMHO) patted them dry and applied Shakin’ The Tree, including under the skin. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, sprayed with canola oil and direct grilled to about 180 internal. Two tasters said it was some of the best tasting grilled chicken they ever had.[p]I need to try that one soon. Happy cookin!

BabyBoomBBQ,
whats a woo ring????
-
BabyBoomBBQ,
What's a woo ring ?
-
Didn't mean to post the same pic multiple times.

Grillicious,[p]I do the same thing by taking the fire ring from one large and putting it on top of the fire ring in the other. I'd LOVE one or two of those though...[p]How would one acquire one or two of them?[p]Dos Huevos
-
Edintx, yeah, I know. I was just quoting the Dizzy Pig thought since it was originally made for WooDoggies. Actually it might have been Nature Boy whose idea of the sweet spot was 4", but my memory may be off on this.

Dos Huevos, ping SandBagger. His email might be in his profile. I got an adjustable from him, and I love it. Large grid on top, medium grid on the adjustable part, and potentially another large grid under it on top of the fire ring.[p][p]It came with what's called a spider that can hold a medium grid, or a mediun pizza plate for indirect cooks.[p][p]Cool, eh!
-
Grillicious,[p]Yah I want a couple of these as well. Sandbagger if you're seeing this please send me an e-mail.[p]Thanks
-
Grillicious,
I was just showing off Sandbagger's fine work and also my, "Look Mom! No meatballs on the floor!" trick. I have less idea where the sweet spot is on the egg than I have where the sweet spot is on my driver. And that's saying something since houses on either side of the green are always in grave danger when I'm swinging the driver.[p]Ed

nodock,[p]It's a device Sandbagger sells that raises the cooking grid to just below the felt line. Follow link for a pic.

Nature Boy,[p]Cool! That was my very first run at this recipe. I marinate the chicken longer now and have made a couple of other changes. When I took this batch to work, I got several ".. best chicken I've ever had.." comments from my coworkers. If you want me to document the chicken fully with pictures for your recipe section, email me. I took a new DOD contractor job, so I can't participate here much any more during the week.

BabyBoomBBQ, I am kinda late to the party, been in Chicago most of the week. Dang, they look good. Did I mention food royalties on that rig. You need to send me one of everything you cook. LOL[p]Anyone can email me if looking for info in this stuff. I am almost caught up on the to-do list....T [p]
