One day, I will prepare a crust made from gourmet ingredients. It will proof and rise, and be hand tossed to circular perfection. One day I'll top this crust with a delectable sauce crafted from heirloom tomatoes and rare spices, followed by a cornucopia of meats and cheeses. once day I'll place this monument to culinary perfection on my BGE pizza stone and bask in the results.
It shall not be this day....
I was on the road all week. I stopped at Costco on the way home from the airport and grabbed a five meat "take and bake". I may or may not have taken advantage of exceptional deals on Bourbon too. I fired up the egg to an even 400 degrees with the plate setter legs up and the grille in place. I threw all caution to the wind and set the pizza right on the grille.
It kicked ass. The delicate smoky flavor imparted to an already decent pie made for a super supper. At $8.99 for a 16" pie, it was a bargain.
Note: Fear not. I also picked up a nice pack of short ribs for the weekend. More to follow.......

The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out. -
I will now pay tribute to you sir Teefus, and journey forth to Costco for said Za, and sit back and enjoy a Friday evening and celebrate by stealing your idea.
Cheers sir."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
