This fellow brought a halt to all landscaping activity this morning.  The workers wouldn't come within 15 feet of him.  Then they doubled that distance when I brought him out into the open.  The guys building the wall found one earlier this spring ... looks like we'll have to be a little more watchful.

One less in my book is headed in the right direction.

Was cooking this weekend and relaxing in the patio.  Noticed the wheels on my XL’s nest are a little crooked.  Over time of rolling it around the patio, they have become loose and are leaning a bit.

So I’m dreading removing the egg from the nest.  It’s heavy as hell, I know the rubber pads will be melted to it and it will make it a three person ordeal.

Going down this path has got me thinking about building a permanent home for my Eggs.  My brother is a salesman for a granite dealer so I can pick up a top surface pretty cheap.  Just not sure of how to situate it on my patio and if I’ll make it completely out of something not flammable, stone/rock.  I hate it when my mind starts to run with something like this!

Not sure what these are - wife is out and thought it looked like a burger in the freezer....   So not knowing, figured bacon and cheese makes everything better!

Last night was grilled salmon glazed with a siracha, lime, and touch of maple syrup that my wife made. Topped with fresh cilantro from the garden. Yum!

Listening to my Mom tell me about the best ribs she's ever made...thanks to me.  She cooked them in the oven for 2.5 hours, took them out and slathered them with sauce.  No idea what part in this I played, or how they were the best ever.  Go Mom.

Way cool @SGH. The only deck visitors we get here, so far, are possums. Not nearly as exotic as a turtle.
