Nomex Gasket installed

I put my new nomex gasket on. (actually it is aramid ) Got a fifty foot roll I'm set for awhile. I'll do the small when it needs it.
I preshrunk it in the oven at 250 for twenty minutes twice. A six foot piece shrunk 1 1/4 inches. I hope it is done shrinking. :unsure:

nice to save that pristine bright white gasket picture to look at before charcoal dust, fat, sauces and other drippings will soon make you say "GET BLACK SOON!" :laugh:Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Update: I just replaced the gasket today. I have been having trouble holding low temps and smoke leaking at the seem. The gasket lasted seven years of 1 to 3 cooks a week. No to bad.
