Final weigh in 8 days!! Keep it going!! Some excellent prizes on the line!!

@Cashfan. This thread has been very quiet.  I'm trying to decide if people just fell off the wagon and dropped out, or maybe folks are so competative they don't want to tip their hand how good their doing.
    Hopefully they are being competitive!!

I have lost almost 48lbs since Dec 20th. I don't remember my start weight for the contest though, so I don't know how much I have lost for the contest. I have a lot of weight to lose, so it may not be much percentage wise. Feels good to be below 300 and have energy again.

    You're killing it!  Congrats.

I'm a good dozen lbs behind you, but feeling good as well.  The scale says I'm doing pretty good, but I've discovered my mirrors are defective.

Flattened sin e I joined contest, fortunately knee is healthy again and spread about 9 cubic yards of mulch in last 3 weeks, so exercise will help me along with eating veggies instead of junk lately.

    Wow, thanks JT.

I was hoping to place, but taking the lead was a nice surprise.  Congrats to everyone who lost pounds and a big thanks to JT for running the show.  I've been laid up with an injury since Christmas.  If it wasn't for this contest, without a doubt I would have gained a bunch while sitting home doing virtually nothing.  Instead, this contest gave me something to obsess about and I came out 40lbs lighter.

As to keeping it off, no worries there JT (said every fat guy ever).  Still very focused on hitting target, and throwing away the fat cloths as I go.

Wow, nice job @blasting. Congrats to everyone who lost weight.  I've been eating a keto diet and doing BJJ which seems to be the magic bullet for me.

@dldawes1. Nicely done, you lost more than I did.

Like you, I'm continuing.   Another 16 quarts of hamburger soup finished cooking this morning.  Good thing I love this stuff.

I'd be interested in hearing what worked for people.  My routine:

    Breakfast, protein shake.
    Lunch, hamburger soup
Dinner. Some type of meat and veggies
Pickles work well for me as a snack

Stopped booze, carbs, sugars.  Cut out evening snacks.

@RedSkip   Sure thing, here you go.  It's pretty simple, but I love the stuff.  Modify ingredients and quantity to work for yourself.

This recipe will make approx. 16 quarts.  It freezes well, and most of it gets frozen in individual  pyrex bowls.

    6lbs ground beef

    4 white onions

    6 cans diced tomatoes

    3 cans green beans

    3 packets french onion soup

3 tablespoons beef broth starter or cubes

potatoes chopped - 7 cup food processor full

celery chopped - 7 cup food processor full

carrots - 7 cup food processor full

    Taco seasoning to taste

    Worcestershire sauce to taste

Brown ground beef with chopped onion.  Season with taco seasoning, salt, pepper - set aside

Cover the fresh cut potatoes, celery, and carrots with water.  Boil until not crunchy.

Add all ingredients, bring to boil, let simmer for 3-5 hours.  Salt, pepper, and taco seasoning to taste.

My favorite way to eat it is with a spoon of sour cream and sriracha sauce.  Topped with a little parmesan cheese.

Lately I’ve been making it with 4lbs ground beef, and 2 pounds smoked sausage instead of 6 lbs gb.
