Wok and Roll Fantasy

Had Bad Company, Rock and Roll Fantasy the whole time out at the Egg.

It has been a while since I last posted a cook.  Had a hankering to do such today.  Talking with my wife yesterday, she stated that it has been a while since we've had Chinese.  I said, let's do it tomorrow.  Went with my tried and true Mongolian Beef.  Picked up some flank steak from the store this morning and we were good to go.

Ingredients:

Sauce:

Soy sauce
garlic
ginger
brown sugar
Water

Beef:

Flank steak
Corn starch
Soy sauce

Made a patch of pork egg rolls to go along with the dish.

Ground pork
Cabbage
Carrots
Red onion
Garlic
Ginger
Oyster sauce
Soy sauce

My wheels started turning when I noticed I had many egg roll wrappers left over.  I was thinking dessert.  Had a few items on hand, not as many as I wanted to make it perfect, but enough to make it tasty!

Ingredients:

Cream cheese
Chocolate chips (milk chocolate)
White sugar

Mix it and taste it.

Made some with bananas too, they were for me and baby girl.  They were awesome.

Topped with powdered sugar and honey drizzle.  Wish I had some ice cream or whipping cream for whipped cream, but didn't.

Here's the lineup of pictures:

1 - First Egg roll.  I test the first one to make sure all is well and it was.

2 - Used the induction burner to fry these.

3 - Beef was tossed in a bag with corn starch.  Shallow fried until crisp.

4 - Nice a crisp

5 - After a shallow fry, removed all the grease.  Place back on the Egg.  Place meat in hot wok to crisp up more.

6 - Nice and hot!

7 - I add my onions before sauce to get happy with the meat.

8 - Adding the sauce

10 - I like more sauce for my Mongolian beef personally, traditionally, it's more dry.

12 - Plated shot(s)
