I couldn't help myself when I saw this 9# packages of pork goodness for $1.19/pound at the store, so I bought it. Now the dilemma is: how to cook it? Like a loin? Like a butt? What say the experts? It seems to be 4 or 5 separate chunks.

We've cooked those in a crockpot in green chile sauce then pulling for chile verde burritos. I can't recall ever grilling or smoking that cut.

I've cooked these low and slow on the egg to about 160 internal. Slice them thin and drizzle with a huckleberry bourbon sauce. Use a rub of salt pepper and brown sugar.

Hmmm, maybe it's not such a bargain if I can't turn it into something good to eat!Large (sometimes wish it were an XL) in KS

I ended up cooking half of it in the crockpot with onion, several Hatch green chilies, and some salsa. Ate it atop rice and pinto beans, topped with cheese. Yesterday I decided to convert it into chili by adding diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, a can of Rotel, some chili powder, and a few pinto beans. Awfully good. i think I'll do the exact same thing with the other half of the package.Large (sometimes wish it were an XL) in KS
