I have the 20 and 30 soft side.  I bought the 30 originally but it didn't meet my golfing needs.  Too big to fit in the cart basket and took up most of the passenger side floorboard.  Got the 20 for Christmas and I tested it in a buddy's golf cart and it will work in the basket.  Barely.

    Both coolers are great!
  • I just picked up the softside 20 this weekend and love it for car trips and short adventures. Much easier then the Yeti softside because of the zipper/enclosure.

I have 30 and like it. 20 seemed a little small. So i guess it depends more on your needs and the space you have when traveling.

I have a tan 65 now that I take to the lake and to weekend soccer tourneys, etc.  We’re heading to Chicago in a couple of weeks and I was wanting something smaller and more portable to put in the car and to use in the hotel room.  IF the hotel room has a fridge they are usually too small or unreliable.

Also something that we could take to the beach and leave in the sand and wouldn’t be too heavy to carry with everything else we’re already lugging down there.  Thanks!

For that use, the 30 would probably suit best IMO.

Just clink on coolers and select the size. You need to "drill" into it!

They never make the sales prices easy to find. Have to click each model to see most of the time.

I have a 20 soft and a 45 white. Love them both. Used hot water to warm up the 45 to transport turkey on Thanksgiving and an SRF whole ham on Christmas.  Use the 20 soft side for golf. It doesn't fit in the baskets on ALL golf carts. Some of the newer carts have baskets that aren't as wide. Both coolers are the bomb though!

Still can't decide between the soft 30 and the regular tan 20.

Regular seems more durable, and would be a nice foot rest at the beach.  Soft seems easier to store and is lighter.

Ordered the 65qt Tan. Had a $100 left over from returning a Christmas gift, so it only cost me $51.54.

So tempted to order one. Just wish they had one with interior dimensions that would allow you to stand a growler or 22 oz bomber of craft beer up. I realize the 40 will do that but it's quite a bit bigger than what I'm looking for. I just want to haul a couple of growlers.

Anyone tried to fit a couple of growlers standing upright in a soft 20 or a hard 20?

    L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....

Really. The last time I ordered something from RTIC I got the email with tracking within an hour but the item didn't move for at least a week.

I have a soft 30 and have used the 20 hard several times( I gave one to my parents a year ago). If you need to keep ice for a several(4-5) days, go with the hard side. If you just need to keep ice for a day or 2 then go with the soft. The soft is way more convenient and takes up a lot less space(along with being a lot lighter). Hope that helps.
