i'm in town helping my mom clean out and organize her house/garage and am going to be taking a brisket home w me. I have some more room to carry some sausages with me as well and wanted to poll the group and see what you would recommend as worthy of bringing across state lines back home to Florida. Thanks in advance.

I just learned they sell the Kiolbassa here in GA (at Publix). They were giving away samples and bought a couple of packs. Excellent stuff for sure.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@Mickey That one is also sold at the Costco Kiolbassa Road Shows. I've had both the cooked and uncooked. Both are made with only premium pork shoulder, no junk. And both taste great.
If cooking on an Egg go with the cooked.
If cooking on a stick burner get the uncooked.

@Foghorn I've cooked both on the off set and the uncooked just had a better smoke flavor. For me that is. I guess it is the cooking with live fire smoke.

I like Slovacek's Beef and Pork sausage for my Magnum Loads.
Sold at H.E.B. and Sam's Club, and I think Fiesta, but not at Kroger.

These are just the HEB branded stuff - some is smoked, some is fresh. Their sausages with Hatch chile are really good, any of the texas heritage stuff and they have some good sausages with brisket, venison, bison in the mix that are great as well. I'd go with anything you can't get near you.

that kiolbassa chorizo is the stuff too! its been kinda hard to find for me even though they make it here which i find ironic. costco actually carried it for a while

Thanks for all the advice. i wish I would've posted early, because I couldn't get everything recommended. I have had Slovacek's before and remember when I lived at Ft Hood they sold that at Sam's and it was amazing. I have a lot of that from previous trips to Houston, so I got some other things this time.
