I think it was supposed to be better than rockwood right????“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

What's going on? A Friday night lump discussion that hasn't gone off the rails?Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
Do any of you have any preference in propane brands?Just bought an Egg? Here is what you get to look forward to now:
Plate Setter, FlameBoss 200, Spider, PSWOO-CI, Additional Rig Shelf for dome cooking, Thermapen, iGrill2, Cast Iron, Blackstone, Cooking Accessories for the Blackstone, Cover for the Egg and the Blackstone, shopping for Rub like a fine wine or IPA, and a new fascination with lump and what brand is the best-all to be debated every Friday Night. Next desires-Joetisceriie, Adjustable Rig, Grillmates, table and more eggs

Damm! I'm only at 2.4 ounces per cook. Surely, being an Egg master has something to do with it. -
I rate Fogo pretty high, but not better than Rockwood. The large pieces comments are absolutely true.Stillwater, MN

To get to that click on a review of any brand, and in the commentary box at the bottom it says To view reader ratings of all brands, Click Here.
For some reason the link I posted in the previous response is not working, but if you go to the whiz's site and look in the commentary box on a lump review his link will get you to a list of all the lump he has reviewed from best to worst. -

I'm working through about 500 lbs of it. Good stuff. Not a big fan of the 35 lb bags - a bit too large. But it is a good mix of huge chunks down to "normal" size pieces. I don't think it would be a good choice for use on a Weber kettle (too large) but for my BGE XL it is excellent. I switched to Fogo from Wicked Good Weekend Warrior.
