Have you ever had one of those days where you drank entirely to much to function? Well, I had one today. In my fog of bliss, I got a craving for chicken and dumplings. Odd really, as I normally crave cheeseburgers and fried chicken legs when drinking. That aside, I staggered to the kitchen and went to rounding crap up. No sober or sane person would actually make this. But to be honest, it was pretty darn good. However the Jack Daniels may have influenced my judgement.
I didn't have much to chose from so I threw a bunch of stuff into the PC just to see.
Said stuff:
1 whole pack of Little Sizzlers.
1 roll of hot sausage.
2 pounds of frozen mullet.
1 extra large pork testicle.
3 chicken breasts.
4 chicken thighs.
5 cans of crescent rolls.
1 quart of chicken broth.
4 cans of cream of mushroom.
4 cans of cream of chicken.
1 stick of butter.
1 pig foot for good measure.

All in all, it turned out pretty good. However I will taste it again tomorrow when I'm sober for farther evaluation.

I would say that I hope that y'all enjoy this odd creation. But to be honest, I don't even know if I really enjoyed it or not. That will be determined tomorrow. At any rate, thanks for looking. Hey, at least it's unique ;)

I'm excited to see what the sober review is. It's intriguing without a doubt. I'm pretty sure the Mrs. would wonder what happened if I cleaned out that much food product for one dish just for me.... =)

Sounds like an absolutely amazing method to feeding a belligerent drunk.
My method is a bit less involved, though it does require some walking.

The main question is did you loose any articles of clothing that might have ended up in the dish?

Believe this or not, I honestly stayed almost fully clothed. My wife have really been on me hard as of late about the nudity with the holidays approaching.

Tell you Brother, that is one fine looking mess of food, blame it on that damn Tenessee swill, stick to Evan or Jim, all will be good!
Although I am mystified at remaining fully clothed.......that is way below your batting average.

Dang great keyboard ability in the fog of war, not to mention inventory memory-and you must have an oversized PC to handle all those groceries.  No doubt a banquet.

This post has caused me to think, my methodology on handling overindulgence with a drink of stout proof, has been wrong all these years.
The gooey cheese laden burger, off the grill, for breakfast, (accompanied by the hair of the howling K9, which left the deep fang wounds), at 2;00 P. M. now seems nothing more than amateurish at its apex.

    Awesome post Scottie.

One thing I learned in my 20 years on subs is that there is all kinds of drunks:

    - the a$$hole drunk
    - the "I Love You Man" drunk
    - the quiet drunk
    - the giggle like a little school girl drunk
    - the come back to the sub blind, bulletproof, and invisible drunk who gets up in the middle of the night, pulls back another guys bunk curtain and pisses on his friend
    - the come back to the sub blind, bulletproof, and invisible drunk who gets up in the middle of the night, and sh!ts in his buddy's boot drunk
    - the come back to the sub blind, bulletproof, and invisible drunk who gets up in the middle of the night, get up and go to the head and open the ball valve of a pressurized san tank - thus blowing sewage all over himself. San tanks were pressurized to blow them overboard - one name for this was "joining the brown, speckled trout club."
    - the come back to the sub blind, bulletproof, and invisible drunk who gets up in the middle of the night while moored at Port Canaveral who jumps in the water butt-nekkid and climbs aboard the Trident submarine moored in front of us, prompting them to immediately initiate "repel boarders" - an armed response to potential hostile intruders. Neither CO was impressed, and to top it off he was covered head to toe in welts from jellyfish.

I could go on but I think you guys get the idea.

I'm glad I am not alone! Sometimes I wakeup the next morning scared to see what I posted the night before.....Thankfully, I seem to post PRIOR to reaching the belligerent state.  My wisdom prevents me from posting past a certain point of no return!

In all honesty, it really turned out pretty good. The dumplings were great. I think if sober I would leave out the Little Sizzlers though.

You da man!  If I were sober looking at those ingredients, I would keep the Little Sizzlers, but the extra large pig jewel would not make it into the pot.

This reminds me of a conversation I overheard last Monday while eating lunch at the Popeye's in Clewiston, FL.  A guy there was telling his buddies how they are lucky they didn't see him Saturday when he drank 36 beers during the day.  Starting at 0930 as in the am and didn't stop until 2300 as in the evening of the same day.  Pretty solid effort there.  He didn't mention anything about a gastronomic event of epic proportions like you did.
