I dove into pizzas with mixed success. tasted pretty good; looked pretty bad.[p]Made my own dough, with bread flour. Turned out pretty good. [p]Made my own simple marinara...Really good.[p]I made a couple of regular pizzas ham and pineapple and a pepperoni. Then for a little spice I made a Thai chicken pizza and a couple margherita pizzas on flat breads.[p]The Thai was really good. [p]All the topping stuff.

Eggecutioner,[p]Looks like you are on the right track...I would find a pizza dough recipe you like..[p]There is a big difference between bread dough and pizza dough...[p]

In a recent Cook's Illustrated, they were using a mixture of all purpose flour and cake flour to get the texture they wanted for their pizzas.

icemncmth,[p]I understand there is a difference. I should have been more clear in my original post. The time that I have been hanging around here there has been lots of discussion about flours, glutens, set-ups, temperatures, etc. I thought that I had read that this one was the "perfrect" recipe. Attached you will see a link to the recipe that I used to make the dough. It calls for bread flour instead of AP or cake flour.[p]E

Eggecutioner,[p]From the looks of your pictures..it looks like the yeast might have died...[p]If you want a really good pizza dough recipe follow the link...[p]and just use bread flour...[p]

Eggecutioner,
Hey, they look good to me. You have some great ideas, exotic pizza using home made sauce.....nice. Sky's the limit.[p]Did you see my Hodag cookies in submitted recipes under pork? They are like mini pizzas using Bay's English muffins.[p]Your Thai pizza sounds good.

Eggecutioner,[p]Hell of a nice job!! Please don't let any resident expert on this forum tell you how to cook a pizza. You're there my friend. [p]And thank you for the wonderful report with the great pictures. [p]Dave

ClayQ,[p]I did not see your recipe. I will be looking directly.[p]The Thai pizza was really, really good.[p]E

Old Dave,[p]Thanks Dave. I thnik they came out pretty well. I just need to perfect the times/temps on the egg with conventional pizza dough.[p]E

Eggecutioner,
Those look great! The Thai chicken looks especially good. Should be good as a stand alone main course.....
-
egret,[p]They are stand alone, and it was really good. It was so good I think I might make a couple more tonight.[p]E
