If it wasn't for my BGE I'd have no use for my backyard... -
Have never bought it, since it's so easy to make myself.
it's pretty simple if you usually have tomatoes, garlic , basil, etc at home. Try searching for no-cook pizza sauce and you'll get a bunch of ideas.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Doesn't say it's for pizza, but it's good on it. -
@RockyTopDW ....I hope this does not detract from folks responding to this thread......but here is a link to a similar request a while back. http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1182304/pizza-sauce-what-are-your-favorite-purchased-sauces#latest
Not a lot here but maybe a few nuggets that might be helpful. If I don't make my own, I normally use Furmano's. It is not bad for a can sauce.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

that crap is mostly pumped up with garbage you wouldn't put in yourself if making it at home so why do it? It's really easy to grab a can of tomatoes (whole plum, crushed, puree, sauce...) with an ingredient list that starts and ends with tomatoes, a blank slate, then move it in any direction you want as opposed to the good people at ______ corporation. Never found a store bought sauce that I wanted to buy a second time. So I stopped buying it - haven't bought any in many years. Most canned crap has way too much sodium in it anyway. I make my own or just use tomatoes and a pinch of salt. Never heard of Mid's.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I usually just simmer some basil oregano and garlic in olive oil and strain it through a cheesecloth. Then put sliced ripe tomatoes on the pizza.

If you haven't done so, I'd highly recommend making your own. I doubt you would go back to store bought. It's really easy.

I try to keep my pizza fairly low in carbs, so instead of traditional pizza sauce I use Buffalo Wing sauce (I usually use Frank's wing sauce). If you haven't tried it give it a go. It's great.

I was making sauce but I like these to much to bother making.

San Marzanos, hands down. I've only found it at Whole Foods.

I keep a few cans of the Pastorelli pizza sauce on hand for those times when I'm not up to making my own.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

This is what I use. It has a nice basil taste to it and I don't really add any additional herbs.
smokeyj I'm going to try that Pastorelli sauce and see how it does.
