Did I toast my gasket or did they not install my Egg right?

Gasket looks fine. Does it leak smoke? If so check out some YouTube videos and they show you how to make it right.

Yes, it is leaking smoke when the other vents are closed or smoking a lot.

Backing down the Daisy Wheel while leaving the bottom open more than the Daisy Wheel will cause smoke to seep out between the gaskets unless you have a really tight seal.

Your planes are out of whack and a leaking gasket will mean premature aging/failure of even a Nomex gasket. Not sure what YT videos you will be watching, but I might be able to give you some simpler solution ideas.

That was the exact sequence of events when I noticed the leak.

Just FYI, the bands can commonly move around do to use and expansion and contraction of dissimilar materials. I say this so you aren't too hard on your dealer. All you need to do is loosen the bands and have someone push the lid down until tight, then tighten the lower band first followed by the upper. Fixed. Little adjustments like this are not uncommon.  Good luck!

It still looks like all you need to do is loosen the hinges on both sides where they attach to the upper and lower bands, straighten them out and retighten and it should drop into place.

Dealer came out and realigned the lid. Very happy with them so far.

thats a common problem many of us had: overbite  (or underbite).  Glad you got the dealer to come out and adjust it.  Wish I had thought of that!!!

Remember to check the tightness of those bolts also. It does not look like they are tight enough(bent) in those pictures. Might just be the angle of the camera. Better safer than sorry.

Keep em on speed dial.  They all go squirrely after a high temp sear or sustained high temp Za session. YouTube & google the forum is your friend. There's an abundance of threads on this subject matter.
