Your Favorite Wild Game or Fish on the BGE
So I got really sick last hunting/fishing season...I'm better now but my freezer is getting dangerously low on wild game. I just pulled my last elk steaks out this morning a buddy mailed me from CO to make fajitas.
So now I'm Jonesin' for the fall as I sit here smelling this delicious critter cook and figured y'all could help me get through with your favorite wild game and fish recipes, seasonings, pics, or just hunting/fishing pics.
My absolute favorite is some dove jalapeño poppers with Larue Tactical dillo dust, salt and pepper and then whitetail backstrap with dark gravy and biscuits, garden veggies and grilled peaches for dessert.
As I type this my guy on the wall over here is looking at me like, "yeah, I remember, so insensitive."
Aaaaaaand GO.

Love stripped bass filets grilled and basted with butter, olive oil, kosher salt, cracked pepper, lemon and lime zest, and smoked spanish paprika. Catch them at Lake Powell Az. Just a wonderful tasting fish. light and flakey and very moist.

Think halibut with sweeter, firmer meat and Snow White. Great texture for grilling. I would choose it over any other species of fish.Narcoossee, FL

Were you hunting in Guantanamo Bay? You didn't have to interrogate him after you shot him!! Did he catch barb wire or take a gnarly fall?"Brought to you by bourbon, bacon, and a series of questionable life decisions."

Thats my soon to be 9 year old jaden. I also have 5 year old barrett and 2 month old spencer. Lots of deer hunters. That first one is me and jaden and barrett sitting in a stand hunting. Think we got a doe that day. Saw about 20.

Haven't had any 'game' meat since I was a kid and learned how to clean a Pheasant.
But as for FISH on my egg?
I love Plank'd MahiMahi. -
Some nice bucks, for sure! I leave them for my grandson and nephews, the other ones are more tender.

Always enjoyed venison, and get some every now and then from friends who hunt on the reg. I haven't hunted in a looong time. Like, high school years.
And i (we) weren't that successful. Hahaa
easier now to let the venison come to me
have purchased elk, but that's not fair.
Both have been done usually as steak (tenderloin). Little black currant sauce from herbs wine and currant jelly. Just a little.
I really like striper (bass) when fresh. Damn. Usually corn meal on one side, pan seared in bacon fat. On the BGE for some smoke
we get a cooler full of blue fin from a local guy that goes fishing with his dad and brothers. No one wants the fish (which i think is sad). I take them and we eat fresh for a couple days and couple different ways. Then freeze the rest
Nothing too adventurous.

SCORE! I just went digging in the garage freezer for some beef and found this little guy. Don't know how old it is or where it came from (not how I package mine) but if one of you is breaking in my garage and leaving these well all I have to say is...beer is in the fridge.
