Hope you had a great one, Ron. The fireworks were for my mom though.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I didn't see this until today, but I shot some highly illegal firecrackers off last night and I just dedicated them to your birthday so at least someone got it right. Thanks for all you do for Eggers everywhere. Many happy returns.

    Happy belated birthday, Ron.

I recently had my first Rutland experience with Ron. I can't say enough good things about the whole transaction. I don't know Ron personally but he's good people, and an asset to this great forum.

Thanks everybody! I am sincerely humbled by all of the well wishes and even the good natured ribbing. I know I'm not the oldest egger here, but there's two bits of wisdom I can share and lived by for years - as you get older don't slow down, but speed up as there is less time left. And the other truth is you will know when it is time to retire! I had always heard that and pretty much scoffed at the idea...but you know what? One night after working late and not getting home until 10 PM Pat and I had a heart to heart talk and by midnight I had decided it was time. A week later I turned in my resignation letter and even gave a 4 month notice. That was at age 60 and I have never regretted hanging up my spurs a single day and that was 12 years ago!

    Thanks again, every one!

@RRP -  I fail miserably at the speed it up routine.  I clearly overloaded on the accelerator in my youth-but that's the deal.
And you are dead on with the "You know when it's when."  Sometimes the when just means a career change.  But at some point, the "when" is truly when.
Of course, if I had @SGH 's $$ I wouldn't give it another thought.  And great sport for putting up with his good-natured posts.
