What to do with hot Place Setter?

Options
When switching one's Egg from indirect to direct heat, as when reverse-searing a steak/roast, what do you do with the hot Place Setter?  I haven't yet bought an Egg (planning to do so w/the first paycheck when I start my new job) but am thinking about how I'll set things up on my deck around the Egg.  Given that I have a wooden deck I figure laying a hot PS down on it would be bad so the best idea I've come up with so far is cutting some pipe to fit in the V-shaped grooves in the top of my saw horses and then setting the PC down on top of the pipe to cool off.
