This probably isn't what you had in mind, but nevertheless, the possibilities are endless...[p]TNW
The Naked Whiz -
The Naked Whiz, good grief, I don't know how they get brown and cook that way. Looks like they are squeezed together where the smoke/heat cannot circulate. But.... they look good.

The Naked Whiz,
Why didn't you put a rib rack on top, cross grain and filler up again????????? )

Elder Ward,
Let's see...one pig has two full racks. So there's ten pigs on there already and adding another grate may allow for at least 7 more delicious pigs.[p]oink oink oink!

hayhonker,
You ever play that car game when you was a kid. You take one side of the road and you brother takes his side and you get points for cow horses pigs. ect..........[p]Well we pasted a herd one day and my little brother shouted 234 cow. We all looked at each other and went no way could he count that fast. Went back and sure enough 234.
Down the road apeace he shouted 488. Well we stopped and counted again sure enough 488. So I says Richard how can you count all them cows so quick? He smiled said I just cout the huffs and divid by 4 B>>>>>>>>[p]Elder Ward

Elder Ward,
That was Chef Wil who did that photo. When people would not believe him, he asked me to post a photo. So whenever anyone asks the fateful question, "How many?", I fell compelled to post it again.[p]TNW
The Naked Whiz -
Elder Ward,
Now that's funny!

ronbeaux, well, after seeing and hearing all of this, I at least feel very comfortable about cooking four racks tomorrow. Cheers to all.
-
The Naked Whiz, seriously, is it possible for them to cook that way?
-
What size is he Big Green Egg?
-
This pic gets posted every time someone asks about how many slabs can be cooked at once. I may even have mentioned in the past too, but I have to finally call bullsh*t on it. I don't believe they were all cooked at the same time in the same egg. Sorry Chef Wil. It is a good pic though.

scole,
i see some smoke rising through the ribs, a big cook like this is possible if you can maintain some airflow. what i can see in the pic is that you wont get a nice even color on the rib. the one on the right side is pretty grey looking, but i dont doubt that you could get a tender rib cooked like this.
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
