    Normally at 12.88 plus tax Royal Oak is .98 cents per pound out the door.

    This sale at 7.88 plus tax makes RO .56 per pound out the door.

    Rockwood:

    Through firecraft with free shipping and no tax is 1.09 out the door.

    No way am I going to use RO at almost the same price as RW, but with this sale it's half the price, so I'm in.

    19 bags, and I already had an inventory of RW.  Now I've got 28 bags of lump.

    Oh, btw.  Home depot can split an order at the till.  No need to go to different stores.  I split my purchases for different jobs all the time at HD.  I just told them do two orders please - 10 bags and 9 bags (that was all they had).

    This is roughly the same price per pound as the Walmart sale a few weeks ago.  I stocked up then, but in for 5 more bags...why not.

    Just picked up 10 here.  If I would have signed up for their credit card they would have knocked off $40 of that purchase.  I hate credit cards though and said no thanks.

    Actually 15.44 lbs.  Kinda like Costco cut the size of blueberry clamshells in half but sells them at the same price.

    Don't know how everyone else feels, but I'd rather companies just raise the prices instead of trying to "sneak it past us".

    The HD I'm going to this afternoon has a stock of 120 bags left.  Should be able to find some good ones.  Like someone on here suggested, I give the bag a few tumbles and listen to it.  If it sounds like a rain stick, then it's been handled by a gorilla.  If it doesn't make much sound, then it's nice and lumpy.  Those are the bags I get.

    I was told at Daytona HD that the sale was TODAY ONLY.  The store started with 81 bags and was down to less than 20 when I left.  I only got 6 bags.  They were 15.44 lbs or 7 kg.
