Mystery--What is this Oxo Tool?

I am cleaning out my gadget drawer and have no idea what this Oxo tool is used for. The rippled steel tip has an upward slant. I looked at Google images...nothing. Googled Oxo product lines...nothing. If it wasn't rippled maybe it was for avocados. The edge isn't sharp, so it's not for cutting waffled potatoes. The steel tip is 1-3/4" long.

Any help out there?

Thanks, but so far no cigar. I wouldn't go within 10 feet of an oyster. And Ron, I know exactly what that tool you made for me is!

I'm willing to bet it's an Oxo handle, and the actual tool is missing; that would explain the corrugations, and the non-sharpened edge. Is there something else in your drawer that looks like it'd be hard to use?

That, or maybe it's the famed Bloom County turnip twaddler...

@Eggscuses: A straight-across blade would crinkle cut, but this is a curved tip.

Judy, while your idea to send to CI is good it probably will take no less than Christmas '17 for an answer. I still think a better solution is to email OXO technical support and label it a "Stumper Challenge"! Hey - they may even send you a reward for enlightening their mundane Monday! Send it tonight!!!

Here is something you may find useful. I have a few that I cook oysters on the egg with. They are convenient and I can get at least 2 dozen on my large egg each time. With luck I don't spill any of the liquid.
