Anyone have any experience with this?
Bought a package and trying it now - have to prebake the crust before topping and then baking some more. The texture is strange, almost like masa.
Making a traditional pie and also decided to try a deep dish since the texture was so strange.

Looks good. I've made gluten free Zas but, from scratch. How did ya like it?
Agree. Even the scratch one's I made the dough texture reminded me of Tomale Masa.

The regular pie was good, no way as good as regular crust, but a good option for my daughter.

I've used red's mill gluten free. Wasn't nuts about it, been using Udi's pre made crust and enjoying it a lot. Haven't made a great GF home mix yet. I think part of my mistake was making the pizza too thick. Yours looks great.

@Slabotnick she's tried the udi's premade crust and said it was ok, she likes this better, but for context, she made that in her college rental oven with college budget ingredients and it may have been the 2nd or 3rd pie she's ever made. We made the pizzas tonight on the egg with our ingredients. I think I'm going to order some of the other chides from Amazon and also see if the local pizza joint will sell me some of their GF dough.

I remember a GREAT comedy stint from the late, great John Pinette. "I recently tried gluten free bread. Um, it need's gluten!! I don't even know what gluten is, but apparently, it's delicious!!!!"

We are still on the lookout for a great gf option at home but we have been enjoying the Udi's for a fairly quick solution with quality ingredients as you referenced. It's probably worth a shot again at least. Let me know if you find a great answer. Thanks @Legume .

Wtf is a chide? I meant kinds. Going to order some of the other kinds.

@Hub no kidding. If it wasn't for my daughter having issues, I never would've tried this. I haven't tried the bread yet, but I know it just feels different.

@legume @Slabotnick I have been GF for 5 years this month. Pizza was one of the food items we really missed. I will admit that after I got my egg it was 6 months before we made pizzas. After that night my wife looked at me and said why did we wait so long to make these.
I will go out on a limb and say we have tried MANY different brands. From the rich food pre made crust that is sold at restaurant depot to bobs red mill. The one my wife always goes back to and likes the best is Gluten Free Momma flour and she adds ingredients to it to make it rise. I have posted the recipe on here before. She gets it from amazon(cheeper place). Also a great place to look for other GF items.
Using the GF Mamma flour we DO NOT pre bake the pies. We roll them out on parchment paper then right on the stone. I leave the paper for about 5 min then remove. if you have any other questions please send me a message and I will try to help you through this huge lifestyle change.

Here is another one that I recall was good. Also on a side note Aldi's has a good GF selection. They do have boxed pizza crusts. I don't recall if we have used any but I know we have some in the pantry. I have cooked the corn bread it it was yummy.

@Firemanyz...thank you so much! She's just started and is still pissed off, so we're trying to help her discover workarounds and cheats for food she loves.

@Legume Let me know some of the other favorites and I'll share what we have replaced them with.

Udis also has a pre-made frozen one now. Son loves it, if you need GF you may want to try it.
We have had better luck with King Arthur GF stuff verses Bobs

My wife misses Krispy Kreme the most everything else we have found pretty good substitutes.
