OT Blackstone built in

Thinking about getting a 36 inch Blackstone griddle and trying to build it into an outdoor kitchen. Has anyone done this? I was thinking about not using the legs and sitting it on top of the counter. Would that work? Realize that wouldn't be a built in per se but would give me some flexibility. Appreciate any thoughts

They have a countertop model. Not sure you can get one that size in it though.

I have though about that also. However, I am still a bit leery of the idea; there is a great deal heat that comes out of the sides of the unit. Though, cutting down the legs so it stands on a table seems very doable.

Thanks for the pic. That's what I was thinking about doing but like @rcone I am worried about the heat. I haven't picked my countertop yet but was thinking granite

Sure would help with the wind if you can figure out how to safely evac the heat.

Wasn't actually thinking about building it in, rather sitting it on top of the countertop of an outdoor kitchen. Would that work to disperse the heat? Any idea on the best type of outdoor countertop to use so the heat won't damage it?
