Hey does anyone have a temp and time for a 7 lb prime rib. I have guest coming over for dinner at 6pm and want to be able to serve at 7pm. Just wondering what time I should put it on.[p]Thanks,[p]bigarms

  • bigarms,
here's a link to how i do them... for seven pounds, if you follow my method, you should figure on about 2 hours cooking time (including the sear) for medium rare, with 20 - 30 minutes of resting under a foil temp. . .. HTH

bigarms,[p]I'm a 'sear at the end fan', and the salt crust really draws in the herb seasoning. Here is a link that takes you to last years christmas prime rib.[p]Scott
