Costco strip loin

Back in December when I was picking up meat for Christmas, Costco ran a special on choice strip loins, $20 off or something like that.  Made it a really good price.  I fished through them and found one where the marbling on the end looked good, took it home and cut it into steaks.

These are the first I've cooked.  I tried something a little different, after salting them, I brushed them with a mixture of kitchen bouquet and sesame oil and then a bit more salt, pepper, garlic.  The glaze gave a nice rich flavor to the meat and a meteorite crust.

I cooked these on my new cast iron grill sitting down on a woo.  The dome was 550, but with the lump just inches above the meat, had to be much hotter.  These weren't super thick, so I just flipped several times.  One cooked a little more the other, both very tender.
