Silicon BBQ Gloves on Amazon

I don't own a pair so can't provide opinion but thought I would share. I use welding gloves but they are getting tired. Anyone use these?

I have a pair almost exactly like those. They work fine for food handling and briefly moving a hot grid or rack. However, they are not good for handling a hot plate setter.

I am not sure that 'For Temperatures Up To 425 Degrees Fahrenheit' is actually 'Far More Protection ...'. When I see marketing hype like this, I tend to question the product's real value. Don't see anything to think that this product is any better than other silicone mits on the market. I have gloves that offer much more heat protection.

I have those, they run a bit small .. very uncomfortably tight on my hands. They are now in the corner gathering dust.

I have them as well. I use them for handeling hot food. You can throw them in the dishwasher and they clean up fine.

For or lifting a hot grate and indirect stone I use a pair of welding gloves

I have a pair that is very similar. Use them for handling food...pulling pork, etc. Not what I thought I was buying them for, but they do come in handy for that purpose.

I have some of these as well and agree with the above. They are great for removing hot food and hot grids, but I wouldn't use them for a plate setter. Basically I use these in place of pot holders with the added bonus that you can grab food directly with them as well and they are easy to clean. Cloth potholders always get nasty.

One thing to note is I don't like these for pulling pork. Too bulky.

If I need/want to pick up hot grids/ceramics I just wear my leather bbq gloves and maybe also use them with a silicone trivet thingy for really hot stuff.

I have mitts that are similar to those, but they do not work well with a hot plate setter. Santa brought some of these - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RUBZNDQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. They are rated heat resistant up to 932 deg. vs. 425 deg for the all silicone gloves.

I have these, for $19 you can't beat them. I can pick up my placesetter with them. You just can't spill hot liquids on them because they are cloth. Not really a concern for me.

I have the silicone gloves, they work for what they are intended for. I don't have to move a hot platesetter so I haven't bought the 932ºF gloves yet.

they are worth 10 bucks, for sure. I have some and they work good for handling hot food, preparing pulled pork, Turning racks of ribs or chickens. Ok for hot grates but not plate setters.

I have them. Got them for Christmas. I don't see me using then much. For one they aren't too flexible. In addition it's hard to grab the food as they get very slippery when handling greasy foods. And 425* isn't all that much protection considering the temps our eggs get to during our cooks. I use the ones smbishop gave a link for when I cook chickens for the K/C's at my church. I'm going to pick up a pair of those. Those have a rough texture on the fingers and the palms. That makes them less slippery and you are able to hold on to the food better.

Are the palms all silicone? I can't tell on my phone. I have a pair that are cloth and silicone on the palms. They get gunked up when pulling off food.
