okay 1st time smoking a turkey. I need some help on grill temp and hours per pound.

Last Thanksgiving was my 1st. 12lb bird, spatchcocked, indirect @ 375 and it was ready in 2 hours. Not sure how long a non spatchcocked would take, but everyone loved it. Have fun!!

Pull turkey at 155º breast and/or 165º thigh. Doesn't really matter what temp you cook at but I usually go somewhere between 300º-400º. Time is dependent on the size of the bird (maybe 1.5 - 2.5 hours) but pulling it off at the correct temp is what's really important. Let rest for at least a 1/2 hour.Packerland, Wisconsin
