Is this safe to cook?

I purchased a frozen publix bone in turkey breast on Oct 24. I put it in the garage fridge to thaw and forgot about it. Is it safe to cook this bird? Publix does not put dates on their frozen birds...

Absolutely if your fridge is at a safe operating temp and there are no obvious signs of it not being good.______________________________________________I love lamp..

+1 so long as the cooler/refrigerator is operating in safe zone temps. Go for it.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

cook it..eat it..enjoy! Try a little Coffee Rub on it, not badLenoir, N.C.

I'll take you in another direction ... like my restaurant owner brother always preaches to his staff 'When in doubt, throw it out' ...I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

It's only been thawed for maybe 9 days...probably fine if temperature is good.
But a turkey isn't a standing rib roast type of expense. Would you rather toss $24 in the trash, or 'splain to SWMBO about your little experiment? -
If it passed the sniff test I would cook it. If it smells like funk I'd toss. I enjoy life too much to sit in the toilet for 24 hours to save a few dollarsColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

You put the thing in the fridge frozen solid. It probably took 5 days to thaw completely. Unless you keep your fridge >40*, you're fine, cook and enjoy.They/Them

My wife is a cooking professional. At refrigerator temperatures, it's good for about a week. In other words, toss it out.

Neither does Restaurant Depot. I wish they would.

I'm blocked from watching that because I'm not in Canada.
I'm not even going to get started on this subject. Yall throw your meat out after a week if it makes you feel safe. I'm done.

Anyone tried turkey carpaccio?
-
cook it, then give the first pieces to your mother-in-law. Monitor her for about 30 minutes before serving to everyone else

Well I cooked it last night. Best turkey I've ever had. Sliced it up and tossed it on a toasted bun with some extra sharp cheddar and some Southern Soul Hot bbq sauce. Made a great sandwich. No ill effects from the age of the meat.
