Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

A hotdog in a tortilla would be a chili cheese dog wrap a patty melt is a hamburger and belongs in that section. I have to admit I've seen plenty of openface roast beef sandwiches but I've never seen a hamburger openColumbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -

I remember the odd old diner-type restaurant that would refer to hamburgers as hot hamburg sandwich. I think they called it that to differentiate it from a hamburger on a plate (without the bun). In those days, steaks were for special occasions (btw, does anyone remember minute steaks? They were horrible, with strands of arteries running through them). Now that no one eats hamburgers without the bun any longer, or maybe because it's been called a Salisbury steak since the '80s, the hamburger sandwich term has been dropped.
However, I can't recall a hotdog ever being called anything but a hotdog. I believe that the hotdog has such a strong and well defined place in North American culture that it completely defines itself. So, no, I don't think it's a sandwich. As an example, if someone asked you if you would like a hotdog sandwich, would you know what they were talking about? Me either, because it's not a sandwich - it's a hotdog. The meat itself is a hotdog, without the bun. -
If you put pig feet in a hot dog bun, is it called a knuckle sandwich?______________________________________________I love lamp..
