Yes, Virginia, you can bake these on your egg!

Nice @RRP.  Did you cook them at 350 for 30 minutes?  I have pie, but not rolls yet.

Sorry gang - I was away and just got back. Here's the recipe - it really is easy and VERY delicious!

    OVERNIGHT PECAN CARAMEL ROLLS

    By Maggie Clark, Washington, IL

Package of frozen Rhodes Dinner Rolls - though other brands will work

    1/2 cup dark brown sugar

    1 cup chopped pecans

    1 tsp cinnamon

1 small box butterscotch pudding mix - NOT INSTANT!

    1 stick butter

Spray 9 x 13” baking dish or pan with PAM and sprinkle nuts evenly in dish

Place 18 rolls on top of the nuts - rolls should NOT touch each other (but by morning they will have expanded and are touching)

Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and pudding mix together and sprinkle evenly over roll

Melt 1 stick butter and pour over rolls

Do not cover, let stand at room temperature overnight (should raise by morning)

Bake at 350 dome for 25 to 30 minutes

Turn baking dish upside down on platter and allow rolls to fall out of baking dish in a clump.

    ENJOY!!!

Is it ca-ra-mel or kar-mel? Whichever give me a glass of cold milk and a couple of those and I  will be one happy camper.

Just a TOTALLY shameless thread  bump since I posted this near noon today - longgggg after "breakfast & coffee break" time. Trust me folks, these rolls will knock your families' socks off or whomever you serve them to. It will also give you a chance to brag when someone asks..."you baked THESE on that charcoal grill of yours? What do you call it again?" =)

I'm pretty sure this is the same recipe that my wife uses for sticky buns. I know I've bought butterscotch pudding and never had butterscotch pudding so I think this is what goes into the rolls....

My wife has done a similar recipe from Paula Deen.  They were excellent.  She cooked them in the oven but I'm sure they would be great off the egg.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
