i just saw this on Kickstarter and decided to back it. A very interesting concept. I hope it works as advertised.

I'm in too. If it works great no more wires and perfect for the rotisserie.
I went with the 4 probes and the wifi block -
Interesting, I decided to back it @ the dual unit level.
Thanks for the heads up.Barrie,Ont.,Canada. -

If this works as advertised, I just might have to get a set of 4. I hate wiresThey/Them

10 meters isn't very far, range will likely improve in future iterations.
very cool idea. -
Seems like a great idea with a very good design. Not such a great name though.

The wifi bridge is what sold me.

I have a maverick Bluetooth and distance is always a problem.
-
Thats why I went with the block for the wifi.
-
Looks cool. However, they state that the max ambient temp is stated 527°F (275°C) , but also state that it CAN withstand much higher. I sent a message to ask what is the max ambient temp they have experienced before, well, you know... POOF!

Very cool. I decided to get in on this as well with the block and two probes. In Manchester, TNVol For Life!

Damn, this forum costs me so much money. I'm in for 4 probes and the block. Seems like it should be a solid product.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

@onedbguru What are you cooking above 527F that would need a probe???Finally back in the Badger State!

But you roast at much less than 500 on a reverse sear....I typically roast at 325 or less. No need for probe on sear.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html
What am I drinking now? Woodford....neat -
I don't do reverse sear - I cook my steaks/pork chops at ~600 and so far, love the results.

I just noticed that each probe can monitor internal temp AND ambient. I also missed that the block acts as a WiFi gateway. This is pretty cool and has me really close to running upstairs to grab my wallet.They/Them

I think it's very cool. I really only use my probes for butts and briskets. I have my thermapen for everything else.
Donget me wrong I had my wallet out, the it was +$20 for shipping to the great white north, then the exchange. It put this bad boy up to $240 cad. If my maverick ever goes down and I need to replace it I'll pull the trigger. Maybe by then as stated above the next incarnation will have a larger range so imdont need to spend as much on the block. Plus I never leave the house with the egg going anyway. -

You should already be at your desired temp with the lower temp roasting and the sear is only for color and crust.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
I sprung for the 4 probes with the block. The price point is great for that many wireless probes. I'm looking forward to testing it out.

Very cool......hope it works out for them.

This forum costs me $$$ !. Even though this replicates some functions of the DigiQ, I like the fact that it is wireless (probes and wifi) and you can go with multiple probes.
