I upgraded

husker, I went with the 23" and the 32".  I am going to keep my others for now, but not too sure about their future.  I am not a stick burner type.  I prefer kamado cooking and wanted the very best.  In all of my research there has never been an issue with one grill.  I looked everywhere... these things are tanks built to last

I think the biggest difference that I have read about is insulation compared to a ceramic.  A KK is refectory cement and has a two piece firebox, guaranteed to never crack.  

Also it is wrapped in a thermal wrap, aero gel and a few other goodies to increase its R value.  The grout process has special designed elements in it to all increase R value.  They say this is the most over engineered cooker on the market.

I will give you a review once I get going on them!!

I asked the same question. It is about the amount of rotations when opening.  Because the air flows 100% through the charcoal basket, these require far less opening of vents.  The owner, Dennis sends a chart with suggested settings for certain temps.  The guys that own them use 1/8 to a 1/4 spin for example for low and slow.  Just like the daisy wheel, you get use to the settings and it is common settings like before.  Now you just need to know the number of spins instead of how far open you leave your holes

what one does he have??  From what I hear the 32 is almost 1000 lbs.  It think the 23 is in the 5 to 600 lbs. range.

They are expensive but right timing for me.  For those interested Dennis does offer financing now for his grills.  

Had ad this been an option when I purchased I may have financed it over a few months.
