My kid along with my wife now are giving me grief now about taking pictures of food. He is 6. Is anyone in your household giving you grief about taking pictures of the food you cook or have out for dinner? Hay I think it is harmless and is a lot of fun to do and track.

I know full well that I would get blow-back from SWMBO for food pics. I am not a taker of many pics of anything or person or place or event etc . I have occasionally grabbed a shot and even posted some here-but it is a rare and timed event. Matter of fact my phone pic repository has zero pics.
I'm glad that most here engage in the practice as there are some very talented and creative cooks along with presentations. And don't forget those who are quite skilled and professional with a photo-taking device. FWIW-

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

My wife used to, but she now takes pictures herself and puts it on instagram, so it's stopped.

Depending on the restaurant, I may take a picture to text to somebody, but if it is cloth napkin-level or higher, I'd fully expect to get made fun of and will return it in kind, so I don't.

My family knows we don't eat until pics. When I let the boys help I can ask what's next as we plate and they say, "take pics" they also like to plate their own.

It's my neighbors I believe that think I'm nuts... My grilling area is right in the view from their kitchen- and I'm out there 5-6 times a week.

I don't get crap for it, but honestly I feel a little guilty because before I really got involved with this forum, I was always posting pics of my stuff on Facecrack. The things that I have actually heard from people is that they look forward to seeing hat I'm cooking! I guess that's good, right?

They're used to it and expect it. For the Mayweather vs Pac fight in May, our 35 guests looked at me a lil cray when I took this pic immediately after service:

A few asked about it and my wife said "this is part of the full experience"!

Wife, and therefor kids, hate it when dinner is delayed for 5 seconds for picture taking. I now have to do it Egg-side, before the table. I've said "I share because I care." I feel like I should give back some of the knowledge given me years ago.

I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.

I do that, set up my plate for a photo and slop it on all the other plates, or they can serve themselves.

I do feel guilty that there are more photos of food on my phone and IPad than photos of my wife and daughter but I just can't help myself. Come to think of it there are more photos of our cats also...

My wife and girls are all used to it now, I don't even get an eye roll anymore. But I have yet to start when we have consonant over. I have snuck a few over the years and posted. But that's it. It's a shame because we are always doing big ass cooks for lots of people. Hence the 3 eggs. I'll start one day, just don't need or want to try and explain why.
