Anyone know the difference between first gen Stoker wi-fi and the newer Stoker II wi-fi?

    Yes, Stoker Gen 1 crashes more often.  If you are set up with dynamic IP router setting this creates problems as the stoker gets different ip address each time it is restarted.  Gen 2 is much more stable with far fewer glitches when using "apps".  Web browser is best and you will find much more reliable connection with Gen 2.

    No reason to go backwards, if you have an older stoker send it back and get it upgraded.  Don't try upgrading yourself, you could spend hours trying to no avail.  Not mac compatible either.

    There is at least one hardware upgrade I am aware of. The Stoker WiFi II radio is 802.11b/g/n capable, the prior was 802.11b only.
