After my post last week about the CGW swing grate for the minimax @SoCalTim and I struck a deal and in the mail today it came. (Really appreciate it by the way Tim, and hopefully yours arrives shortly).
Unboxed it and in the egg it went along with some thick bacon and Sam Walton's crappiest burgers.
Tried to soak the fries but only gave them 20-30 min in water, likely not enough to do anything. But they were still good.
Initial thoughts on the swing grate are positive. I can see where it's already some what warped. Plus it could use some handles to make it easier to install and remove. Both issues I already have ideas for...

Just so we're clear...there is bacon on the burger, and a side of bacon? If so, then I approve this message.
Awesome looking cook man...and the fries look spot on from here.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Hold that I'll be over shortly. Nicely done!!I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Thanks for posting this. I have also been contemplating getting this setup. Is this just a small swing rack modified to fit the MM? The warping issue is also something that concerns me. How bad is it? Thanks in advance.

Looks great @Jermiah.
Could we get some details on the fries?John in the Willamette Valley of Oregon -
Love it Jeremiah! However, not to be a wet blanket....Warped already? What temp did this occur? That just doesn't seem right...right? Positive note is this looks absolutely delicious! Nice work man.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

It's used! Not new. I traded SoCalTim for it. The warping isn't a concern as I have some thick 1" flat stock in going to weld perpendicular under it. It's plain steel after all.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

Those french fries look great! Very potato-y looking. You did those fresh? Are they fried or baked or egged?

Love the idea of the bacon fat dripping down on the burgers and I'm with @SmokeyPitt about bacon on the burger and as a side.Franklin, Tn
