ribs vs. people

When using St. Louis cut ribs, is there a way to determine how many to cook per person. In other words, if planning a meal for 20 people, how many racks do you cook considering that there will be other items to chow on? Any tried and true rules?

With St Louis ribs I average 4 bones per person if there are a lot of other foods to eat. If not then maybe 1/2 rack would be more then enough per person. I always have some leftover.
