How many butts on Medium BGE

I have a friend who just got a medium BGE and wants to know how many 8 lb butts can he smoke at one time. I have a large and XL, but I'm not familiar with the medium. I've seen many answers regarding a large, but I haven't been able to find an answer for the medium. Thanks for your help.

I have never done more than 2, I think you might fit three if the shoehorn is big enough...

3 posts.... Welcome to the forum. I'm with skiddy on this one. You'd restrict airflow too much and have to deal with the hot spots if you tried to squeeze three on there.

With no ability to raise the grid, 2 8lbs butts will fit.

I thought that you could at least do three. I usually just do 4, but have easily done 6 on my large by stacking them, and have heard of people doing 8. Thanks to everyone for your responses.
