I am still early in my experimentation with sauces, and interested in hearing from those of you who may have traveled down this road a bit further than I have. My most recent try is the below. Was a bit expensive and I had high expectations. Was good...but still looking.

i like the costco brand spaghetti sauce, it has very little water in it and tastes amazing

Why not make your own? That way you can tailor it to what you are looking for. Starting with crushed San Marzano tomatoes is a good base.Be WellKnoxville TN

I make about 24 oz of sauce and use it for several weeks on my pies so other than first assembly it is as convenient as store bought and you know what went into it.Be WellKnoxville TN

I don't remember the last time I bought pizza sauce. I do know that I never found any that was even close to good. I haven't looked in years, but don't recall any of the brands mentioned so far.
Often, I just use canned whole tomatoes, run through a food mill. Seasoned on the pie with a pinch of salt, maybe some oregano.
Why not make your own and freeze it in pizza-sized servings? Kenji has a great NY style sauce recipe... http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2010/10/new-york-style-pizza-sauce.htmlI hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

whole tomatoes hand crushed, add pastene pizza sauce to the tomatoes for a thicker sauce, add even more sugar for a beach pizza. you have to mention what kind of pie you want, most thin crusts have so little its hardly playing a part. onions carmalized with garlic anchovies and balsalmic can make a great sauce with the right toppings
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
