My wife is hosting 12 women at our house in a couple weeks, and I have been charged with making the appetizers on the Egg. Any ideas or suggestions of what to cook for a group of women?

At the eggfest in Arkansas last year, these stuffed mini bell peppers were popular. You could do a mix with some ABTs. Just remember the ABTs would take longer because of the bacon. The mini bells cooked fast, and disappeared fast, especially with the crowd you described.

And on those peppers, I used ground beef that I smoked pretty heavily, so they'd have some flavor. I did it with hamburger that I patted thin and then smoked.

Stuffed mushrooms, smoked tuna dip are two that come to mind.

Couple points that that I'd stick to here.
1 - Don't go with apps that are hot and spicy.
2 - Don't go with apps that are smoky.
With that said, the stuffed shrooms @theyolksonyou suggest sounds awesome to me.
I'll add a nice spinach and artichoke dip, Charleston Cheese Dip (clickable to the recipe), twice baked potatoes, or Tater Bombs (clickable and shameless plug for me :( ), cocktail wienies wrapped in bacon with brown sugar dusting, and maybe some boneless wings/chicken tenders.------------------------------

Slice figs in half, put a dallop of goat cheese on, then wrap in bacon. Always impresses the women.

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
I would go with shrimp tacos with a nice salsa (corn, spring onions- light parts, pabalano pepper) roasted on the grill. Add some cilantro, avocado chunks and a little hot sauce....maybe some fresh garlic....with your diced tomatoes Marinate the shrimp in some lime juice and a little bit of olive oil.....grill and serve on some warm 6 inch flour tortillas.....dude you will be in there!Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Do some green lightning shrimp... despite the spiciness of the marinade, the finished shrimp is just damn tasty, not overpoweringly hot

Made this last summer for some friends and it quickly became one of our favorites... Grilled grapes with burrata cheese. Got the recipe from GQ mag. Grapes are marinated in balsamic, olive oil and garlic and a little crushed red pepper and then grilled to char... I like to drizzle a little balsamic glaze over the plate. Spread on grilled bread w/the cheese...

cedar planked brie with a fruit compote, boiled down cranberries with sugar and rosemary and lemon works good baked on top with fresh blueberries added later (works good for me because i grow crandberries and blueberries). you can do another with roasted red peppers and garlic, that recipe is all over the web. ive had brie wrapped in phyllo sheets stuffed with pepper jelly that were really good too. these are work arounds for folks that dont like smoke and heat, then enjoy it. they also work good with wine for shrimp, shrimp lejon with proscuito wrap instead of bacon with grilled and fresh pineapple chunks. for dip, maineggs lobster dip cant be beat
