Looks fantastic brother. I really like a good flatiron. To be perfectly honest here, flatiron is one of my favorites. So is lobster. Great job. Enjoy.

Again, it looks spectacular. I'm placing another order with SRF tomorrow. After seeing this, I'm definitely getting a few of their flat irons. Awesome job.

Scottie this was the best piece of meat I have ever had and it was full of fat/marbling. I purchased a SRF bundle on sale just befor the holidays that included 2 half Hams 9 pounds each, 2 3 pound bone in cowboy Ribeyes, 2 8 oz filets, 2 8 oz bacon wrapped filets and this 2 pound flat iron steak, all the beef was Kobe but this was the best piece in the groupCharlotte, Michigan XL BGE

What kind of oil or butter do you use in the cast iron? Newbie question

No butter or lube at all, I do however EVOO the dickens out of the protein before I put it on the CI, I have read that you should pat it dry before you put it in the pan with oil and butter but this works for me.Charlotte, Michigan XL BGE
